1. Remove a connected account
If you own the workspace the account is connected to, sign in and go to Settings → Channels, open the account's menu and choose Remove. That immediately deletes its access tokens, its profile picture, and every view, like and comment count Rakaman read through it, and stops any post still waiting to go out to it. For YouTube it also withdraws Rakaman's access at Google.
The account's name and the links to posts already published stay in the workspace's post history. To have those removed too, ask us as described below.
2. Remove our access from the platform
You can also withdraw Rakaman's access from the platform itself, without signing in to Rakaman. From that moment Rakaman can no longer publish to the account or read anything from it.
- Facebook and Instagram
- In Facebook, go to Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations, find Rakaman, and remove it.
- Threads
- In the Threads app, go to Settings → Account → Website permissions, find Rakaman, and remove it.
- YouTube
- On the Google security settings page, find Rakaman and remove its access.
Withdrawing access this way stops us using the account, but it does not by itself make us delete what we already received from it. To have that deleted, ask us as below.
3. Ask us to delete it
Write to [PRIVACY CONTACT EMAIL] with the subject “Delete my data”, from the email address you use for Rakaman if you have an account. Tell us what you want deleted:
- Everything we received from a social account — give us the platform and the account's name or handle. You do not need a Rakaman account for this; it is the request to make if a workspace you are not part of connected an account of yours.
- Your Rakaman account and the personal data attached to it.
- A whole workspace and everything in it, if you are its owner. You can also do this yourself, at the bottom of Settings.
We reply within 21 days with a reference number, and either confirm what we deleted or explain what we could not delete and why. Quote the reference number to ask where your request stands. We may ask you to show that the account or the email address is yours before we act, so that nobody can have someone else's data deleted.
4. What we cannot delete
- Posts already published. Once a post reaches YouTube, Facebook, Instagram or Threads, it is held by that platform; delete it there.
- Work other people depend on. If you leave a workspace that continues, what you wrote there stays for your colleagues, but it stops being attributed to you.
- Records the law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires them.
Our privacy policy sets out everything we hold and for how long.
